Terms of service
How we work together.
Last updated 26 September 2026
These terms apply to this website, to the client portal at portal.drexelstudios.com and to the projects and plans Drexel Studios LLC delivers to its clients. Using the portal, or accepting these terms inside it, means you agree to them on behalf of the business you represent. If anything here is unclear, ask us at hello@drexelstudios.com before you rely on it.
1. What we do
Drexel Studios designs, builds and maintains websites and digital products. Work is agreed either per project, with a scope and a price set out in writing before it starts, or per monthly plan through the portal. Anything not covered by a project agreement or a plan is quoted separately before we begin.
2. Your account
Portal accounts are created by invitation. There are no passwords. Each sign-in uses a one-time code and a link sent to your email address, so the security of your account is the security of that mailbox. Keep it protected, do not forward sign-in emails and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. Each account is for one named person. Ask us if a colleague needs access and we will invite them.
3. Plans
A plan is a monthly subscription. Each plan lists a monthly price, the number of requests it includes each month and what else is included. Add-ons are extra recurring services we agree with you and bill together with the plan.
Requests are the work items you send through the portal. Each plan includes a set number per month. A request we decline does not count against that number. Unused requests do not carry over to the next month. Work that falls outside what the plan includes is quoted before it starts.
We work through requests in the order agreed with you and tell you in the portal when each one changes status.
4. Payment
Plans are billed monthly in advance in US dollars through Stripe. To start a plan we send you a payment link. The link is valid for 30 days and the plan starts when you complete checkout. Your card details are entered on Stripe's pages and never pass through us.
Prices shown exclude any taxes that apply. We will tell you in writing at least 30 days before a price change affects your plan.
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it and emails you. You can update your card at any time from the Manage billing link in the portal. If the payment is still unpaid seven days after it was due, access to the portal is paused until it is settled. Work already delivered stays yours.
Monthly fees are not refundable once the month has started, except where the law says otherwise. Project work is billed as set out in the project agreement.
5. Ending a plan or a project
You can cancel a plan at any time by asking us through the portal or by email. The plan runs to the end of the current billing period and no further payment is taken. We can end a plan by giving you 30 days' notice. Either side can end a plan or a project immediately if the other side seriously breaks these terms and does not put it right within 14 days of being asked.
When we part ways you keep your site, your domain and everything we built for you that you have paid for. We hand over files and access within 30 days of the request.
6. Your content
Everything you send us through the portal, whether text, links or files, stays yours. You give us permission to use it only to do the work you asked for. You are responsible for having the right to share it and for making sure it is lawful.
7. What we build
Once you have paid for it, the work we deliver for you is yours: the site, the designs, the code written for your project. We keep the right to reuse the general know-how, tools and components that are not specific to you. We may show the work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to, and we will always ask before naming you as a client.
8. AI in the loop
We use AI tools in our work, with a person reviewing every decision before it reaches you. The portal also offers an optional Polish tool that rewrites text you are typing for clarity. When you use it, the text you are editing is sent to Anthropic's API and returned to you. It is never used without your pressing the button. Our privacy policy has the details.
9. Using the portal responsibly
Do not try to access accounts or data that are not yours, probe or overload the portal or use it to store or send anything unlawful. We can pause an account that does any of these while we look into it.
10. Availability
We aim to keep the portal available at all times but do not guarantee it. We may take it down briefly for maintenance and will try to do that outside your working hours. The portal is provided as it is. Our commitments about the work we deliver are in your project agreement or your plan, not in the software that tracks them.
11. Liability
We are responsible for delivering the work we agreed to, with reasonable skill and care. We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, for lost profits or revenue or for problems caused by services we do not control, such as your hosting provider, your domain registrar or Stripe.
Our total liability to you for anything arising out of these terms, in any twelve-month period, is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms carry a version number in the portal. When we change them we publish the new version here and update the date at the top. The portal then asks you to accept the new version the next time you sign in. Continuing to use the portal after that means you accept the change. If you do not, you can cancel your plan as set out in section 5.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. If we disagree about something we will each try to resolve it by talking first. Anything we cannot settle that way goes to the courts of Florida.
